Week 4 Reflection
This week’s learning about the flipped classroom really helped me see the value in taking more responsibility for my own learning. Instead of relying on the instructor to guide every step, the flipped model encourages students to review materials on their own first and come to class prepared to engage. Even though my class is online-only, the idea still applies because most of our learning happens through videos, readings, and reflections that we go through independently before completing assignments. I noticed that this approach makes me think more critically and keeps me more involved, since I’m not just sitting and taking in information. I’m actually applying it. Overall, learning about the flipped classroom pushed me to be more active in my learning and helped me understand the content on a deeper level.
Another interesting part of this week was learning about QR codes and how simple but powerful they can be. Creating a QR code was surprisingly easy, and I realized how useful they are for sharing information quickly. Instead of typing out long website links or searching for resources, someone can just scan a code and be taken directly to the content. In an educational setting, QR codes can help organize materials, guide students to videos or assignments, and make learning more interactive. I can see how they save time and make information more accessible, especially in a classroom where students use their phones or tablets. Overall, understanding how QR codes work showed me how technology can make learning more efficient and engaging.
